Humanoid

A humanoid is a creature with a body plan consisting of one head, a primate torso, two arms, and two legs used to support the body and consistently run/walk bipedally as the main form of movement.

All humanoids share the following traits:

  • Possess opposable appendages such as thumbs for articulate manipulation.
  • Possess forward facing binocular vision (having two eyes)
  • Possess biomechanic bipedalism – the ability to walk in an upright position.
  •  Have sufficient hand eye coordination to throw an object and strike another object with it.
  • Have a well developed brain capable of complex reasoning and rational thought.

Types of humanoids

Despite most humanoids sharing traits, a few differ based on their general nature such as

Natural

  • Natural Magic: Natural Humanoids (non-faye, etc.) have the capacity to directly manipulate mana plasma. This includes those with at least 1/16 natural humanoid ancestry.
  • Have to breathe, eat, excrete and sleep.
  • Generally experience pleasure during coitus.
  • Have the ABO and Rh blood types.

Faye

  • Arcanist Being: Faye bodies can metabolize mana into their constituent biological molecules and cells. This internal magic production allows for them to perform biological actions that may bend physical laws known as biomagical functions. All faye are also capable of performing ordered spellcraft. Most of this also includes hybrid beings with at least 1/16 faye ancestry.
  • Regeneration Factor: Faye can passively regenerate wounds in a short time via biomagical reactions speeding up the process. The extent of this regeneration can prevent the development of scar tissue and even regrow entire limbs within a few minutes however these actions do not set any broken bones on its own. In addition, this arcanist trait is significantly slowed in anti-magic areas or when the subject is increasingly exhausted.
  • Negligible senescence: Faye lack measurable symptoms of aging due to their cells high regenerative properties. They do not have reduction in functional or reproductive capabilities past maturity. For some the rate of mortality doesn’t increase past old age either, meaning that most can live for centuries and some are biological immortal.
  • Have to breathe, eat, excrete and sleep.
  • Generally experience pleasure during coitus.
  • Have the ABO and Rh blood types.

Henge (Magical Beast)

  • Shapeshifter: The ability to shapeshift is natural to most henge and thus also have the shapeshifter subtype. A henge can shape-shift between two main forms: animal and humanoid. Most of the following only apply to their humanoid form specifically.
  • Have to breathe, eat, excrete and sleep.
  • Generally experience pleasure during coitus.
  • Have the ABO and Rh blood types.

Magical Flora

  • Arcanist Being: Magical flora bodies can metabolize mana into their constituent biological molecules and cells. This internal magic production allows for them to perform biological actions that may bend physical laws. Those that are intentionally used are arcanist abilities, most others are passively ingrained into each unique species known arcanist traits.
  • Photosynthesis: Instead of eating, they use light energy and carbon dioxide to make their own food.
  • Generally experience pleasure during coitus

Spirit

  • Arcanist Being: All spirits have arcane magic in the form of arcanist traits/abilities and  performing ordered spellcraft. This includes those with spirit ancestry.
  • Psychic: Spirits are beings that produce and depend on psychokinetic energy in the same way that organic beings produce electromagnetic currents and fields. In fact this psychic energy is basically their life force. Spirit physiology produces psychic fields that enable them to respond to stimuli in their ethereal environment, move themselves or things around them, navigate the world, and react to psychic energy outside of them.
  • Intangibility: Despite manifesting a physical form, humanoid spirits can induce the incorporeal state on their bodies.
  • Generally experience pleasure during coitus.
